What gets done

More than the glass

A frontage rarely looks tired because of the windows alone. Everything below is done from the ground — no ladders, no scaffolding.

Outside and inside

Most jobs are external only. If you want the inside doing as well — shop glass, office partitions, entrance doors — say so and it goes on the same visit.

Before you open

Early mornings are no problem. Shops, cafés and salons get done before the first customer walks in, so nobody is working round a pole.

Signage, cladding and fascias

Not just the glass. Shop signs, panels, cladding, soffits and fascia boards — the parts that make a frontage look tired long before the windows do.

Gutters on commercial buildings

Gutter clearance for units, offices and managed properties, cleared from the ground so the downpipes actually run when the autumn rain comes.

“He cleaned all the gutters, pvc fascia board, window and doors. He worked so hard, it’s been years since the PVC was cleaned. There wasn’t any pressure to have a regular window clean or contract.”

Why a one-van firm

You get the owner, not a rota

The bigger outfits round here will quote you too. Here is the honest difference, so you can decide which one your building actually needs.

Same person every time

You are not getting whoever was free this week. I learn your building — when your deliveries land, where I can put the van without blocking your loading bay, and which windows always need the extra minute.

One number, no call centre

Ring and you get Lynne, who knows the round and the diary. Message, text or email and it comes straight to me. Either way it reaches someone who knows your building, not a ticket in a queue.

Small enough to fit you in

A one-off before an inspection, a landlord viewing, or a shopfront that needs doing this week — no work order queue to join.

The paperwork side

  • Public liability insurance — certificate available before the first visit.
  • DBS checked — useful if you have a site where that matters.
  • Risk Assessments & Method Statements on request, for managing agents who need them on file.
  • Everything from ground level — water-fed pole, no ladder work above your entrance, no scaffold hire on your quote.
Questions

Before you ask

How high can you reach?
It depends on the building, so I’d rather look than guess. Send a photo or I’ll come and see it. Everything is done from the ground with a water-fed pole — no ladders leaning on your frontage, no scaffolding on the bill, and nobody working at height above your customers.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Plenty of places just want a regular visit and a price they can rely on. If you would rather have something in writing for your records that is fine too — but it is not a condition of getting the work done.
Can you come before we open?
Yes. Early mornings suit most shops and offices better, and they suit me too — it is quieter and the job goes quicker.
What paperwork can you provide?
Public liability insurance, DBS checked, and Risk Assessments and Method Statements on request. If your managing agent needs anything specific, ask and I will get it to you.
How often would you come?
Whatever the frontage needs. Four-weekly for a busy shopfront on a main road, longer for an office set back from traffic. I will tell you honestly which one your building actually needs rather than selling you the shortest one.
Who actually turns up?
Me. One van, one person, the same face every visit — which is the whole point. You are not getting a different subcontractor each month, and there is no depot in another county deciding when your building gets done.
